What is the force that keeps us on the ground?

Task #1- Complete an inspiration map with your expert group about your chosen celestial body. You will then share the inspiration with the two other members of your core group. Be sure to first answer the three critical questions for your topic. You may also add a fun fact section to your inspiration if time permits.

  1. What is the motion of the moon around the Earth called? Describe how it looks.
  2. The moon looks like it changes shape over a one month period. We can predict its next shape because of a cycle pattern. What does it look like? What are the names of each of these shapes?
  3. Describe the movement of the moon. How does the movement of the moon across the sky explain day/night?

Task #3- With your core team, you will create a moon phase photostory. Using white colored pencil (or chalk) and black construction paper, you will create each of the moon phases. You will then take pictures of these phases and create a photostory. Be sure to label and/or record your voice to describe each of the moon phases.
